I recently attended an amazing Indian cooking class hosted by Airbnb that taught me how to cook some of my favorite Indian dishes from scratch. During the class, the instructor shared the history and cultural significance behind each dish which made the experience even more special. First Dish: Chicken Tikka Masala

We started with the famous Chicken Tikka Masala. As we mixed the spices together to make the marinade, the aromas soon filled the room with tantalizing scents. The instructor explained how the combination of the yogurt and spices tenderizes the chicken and produces a comforting and creamy sauce. Once the chicken was heated through and the sauce had reduced, we plated the dish and garnished it with cilantro. The flavor of the dish was absolutely heavenly - warm, spicy, and creamy all at the same time.
Second Dish: Vegetable Korma

Next, we moved on to cooking Vegetable Korma. This dish was particularly special because it was originally a family recipe passed down through generations. Each vegetable is carefully selected for its texture and flavor and is cooked with a mixture of spices and yogurt until it reaches the perfect consistency. As we tasted the dish, we were amazed at how each vegetable maintained its unique flavor while still coming together in perfect harmony. The Vegetable Korma was a fine example of how Indian cuisine can be both hearty and healthy at the same time.
Third Dish: Mango Lassi

And lastly, no Indian meal is complete without a delicious Mango Lassi! Made with ripe mangoes, yogurt, milk, and a touch of sugar, this beverage is the perfect blend of sweet and tangy. The instructor taught us how to make an authentic and refreshing Mango Lassi that was served chilled and garnished with fresh mint leaves. This was the perfect end to an already wonderful meal.
Overall, this Indian cooking class was a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend to anyone who loves Indian cuisine or is looking to learn more about cooking in general. The instructor was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Indian cuisine and made the class both informative and fun. The recipes were easy to follow and the dishes were absolutely delicious.
