So, I recently attended a couple of wine pairing classes and it was an absolute delight! For anyone who loves wine and wants to learn more about pairing it with different foods, I highly recommend attending a class. The two classes that I went to were the Wine Pairing Class at Parallel 44 and the Italian Wine & Food Pairing Class.

The first class that I attended was the Wine Pairing Class at Parallel 44. This class was held at the Parallel 44 vineyard, which is located in Kewaunee, Wisconsin.

The atmosphere of the vineyard was perfect for a wine pairing class. The air was filled with the aroma of wine and the beautiful scenery of the vineyard added to the overall experience. The class was conducted by a professional sommelier who had an incredible amount of knowledge about the different types of wines and their characteristics.

The class started off with an introduction to the basic wine pairing concepts. We learned about the different types of wine and their characteristics, as well as the different taste profiles of various foods. We were then given a tasting of three different wines, each paired with a different food item. The sommelier explained the reasoning behind each pairing, and how the flavors complemented each other.

This was followed by a more in-depth discussion about specific wine varieties and how to pair them with different types of food. We were given a chance to taste different wines and experiment with different food pairings. The atmosphere of the class was a bit more formal than the first class, but nonetheless enjoyable. The class started off with an introduction to Italian wines and the various wine regions in Italy. We were then given a tasting of several different wines, each paired with a specific Italian dish.

The sommelier explained the reasoning behind each pairing, and how the different flavors and acidity of the wines complemented the different dishes. We learned about the complexity of the Italian wine industry and how the different regions produce unique varieties of wine.

The chef then introduced us to the different Italian dishes that we would be trying, and explained the history and tradition behind each dish. We were given a chance to taste each dish and wine pairing, and were encouraged to experiment with different combinations.

Both of these wine pairing classes were incredible experiences that I would highly recommend to anyone who loves wine and food. They offer a unique opportunity to learn about wine and food pairing from industry professionals, while also enjoying delicious food and wine!

Not only did I learn a tremendous amount about wine and food pairing, but I also gained a new appreciation for the complexity and artistry behind creating the perfect pairing. I left both classes feeling inspired to experiment with my own pairings at home, and with a greater understanding and love for wine.
