As an avid food lover, I always find ways to improve my culinary abilities. And what better way to do so than to enroll in a cooking class? Recently, I participated in an Asian culinary tour held in San Francisco through Classpop!
Golden Apron Cooking Class
The Golden Apron cooking class was a unique experience that I will never forget. The class was geared towards exploring the diverse and rich flavors of Asian cuisine. The class was held in a cozy and charming kitchen in San Francisco that had a homely feel to it. And, with the guidance of a talented chef, I was able to learn a variety of recipes.
I was first introduced to the essential ingredients that are commonly used in Asian cooking, such as soy sauce and sesame oil. I also had the opportunity to learn the basic techniques of stir-frying, which is a popular cooking method used in Asian cuisine. After going through the theory, we then started preparing our dishes.
One of the dishes that we prepared was the classic Chinese dish, Kung Pao Chicken. It was an exciting dish to cook, as I discovered that it involved a lot of ingredients that I was unfamiliar with, such as Sichuan peppercorns. However, with the guidance of the chef, I was able to execute the dish beautifully.
The Kung Pao Chicken was served with steamed rice, which is a staple food in Asian cuisine. The rice was fluffy and tasted delicious, and it was the perfect accompaniment to the flavorful chicken dish.
